If you are one of those people who needs to know the answer to quizzes before you can take them -- you are in luck! These are the answers to the quiz that will be given out on Christmas Eve.

However if you are one of those people that hates knowing the answer to things before you have a chance to figure them out then -- QUICK close this window before you read any further.

We hope to worship with you on Christmas Eve at 11am (a communion service) and 7pm (a children's service with candlelight). This will be our last year to worship at Running Brushy Middle School. We are completing our first building right now -- come on by our property at 2001 W. New Hope Road and take a look.

ANSWERS TO THE CHRISTMAS QUIZ...

1. False. See Matthew 1:18. While Jews viewed engagement as the first step in marriage, the couple had not cohabitated yet.

2. True. See Matthew 1:25. Marriage was not consummated until after the marriage. See also Matthew 13:55-56 concerning Jesus' siblings. This scripture reference seems to indicate that Mary did not remain a virgin her whole life.

3. B,C. See Luke 1:39, 56 & Matthew 1:19. Mary went to see Elizabeth who was also pregnant, Joseph had in mind to put Mary away privately.

4. D. See Luke 2:1. He word would have been passed down by other government officials. Nonetheless, it was still his law that required them to make the journey.

5. C. See Luke 2:3-4. This is confusing since they go to Bethlehem. However, birthplace was used as the city you were "from". Bethlehem would have been his ancestral city for census information. Jesus, though he was called a "Nazarene," would have been Jesus of Bethlehem.

6. N. No reference. Despite the popular story of Nestor the long-eared donkey, Scripture never mentions by what means they traveled.

7. N. See Luke 2:7. It's a trick question -- the innkeeper isn't mentioned in Scripture, just that the inn was full.

8. N. No reference. Again, no animals are specifically mentioned as being at the actual location with Jesus.
