Our pastor is the Rev. Dr. Kristina Carter. She has a bachelor's degree in Engineering Chemistry and a Ph.D. in Applied Chemistry from Colorado School of Mines. After working in Environmental remediation for about a decade she stepped up to her call to ministry and went back to school getting her Master of Divinity degree at Austin Seminary. She is ordained as an Elder in full connection in the United Methodist Church. She has two grown daughters, one who lives in Tyler, Texas and one who lives in South Austin. Both of her daughters are capable, wonderful people and she is glad to be related to them. She is married to Bill Carter -- a project manager at Texas Commission on Environmental Quality. She lives with Bill Carter, his son, Eric and his father Bob. She has published her first novel, "These Things Don't Happen." Her second will be published soon and is available for preview on this site. Our intern pastor Pastor Stella Burkhalter will be with us during the spring, in the summer and in the fall. Stella is a student at Austin Seminary. She has an undergraduate degree in communications from University of Texas at Austin (Go 'Horns!) and spent several years in the marketing and advertising field in South Texas. She is married to Hunter and is the mom of Wyatt (11) and Emery (9) who are students in AISD and are very fun to hang around. |
